THROW THE ARROW

You Say
I can't live without a purpose
I can't live without direction
That you must have an aim
That you can't hit the target
if you don't know what the target is.

You say we all need to point the arrow somewhere to get somewhere.

But what if your real best bet in life
is to Throw the Arrow to the wind
Even if you have to tell yourself it's temporarily.

What if I tell you
You won't become inert or unmotivated or unsure?
Floating vagrant in a mist of vapid uncertainty?
What if I tell you
You won't get lost either?

What if you find
something catches the arrow from you and points it anyway.
And you no longer have to aim
or push
or try.

Oh, what then?...

Something wonderful that loves you
has been waiting for you all your life
to hand the arrow over to them
So they can point it to
Your True North.
